I was born in Seattle and raised in the Bay Area. My formal education includes an M.A. in Literature, a B.S. in Computer Science, a teaching credential, and attendance at the Otis Parsons School of Art and Design in L.A. For over ten years I specialized in creating oil based reproductions of great master works, including Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, Michelangelo, Gauguin, Daumier, Van Gogh, and Delacroix. My breakthrough as an independent artist came with my introduction to the work of Dale Chihuly, which emphasizes spontaneity, freedom of expression, and vibrant color combined with provocative forms. For seven years I taught English and Art as a high school teacher in the San Diego and Los Angeles school districts, and for nearly two decades I worked for Northrop Grumman Corp., developing software for national security related projects. I have recently expanded my endeavors to include screenplay writing, and one of my scripts is scheduled to go into production in 2011. Enjoy the site. |
